Animal Inn – Richmond, TX – Beware
Sunday, November 5th, 2006Please don’t take your pets to the Animal Inn in Richmond, TX. The place looks clean and inviting, but the service is awful. I took my dog to the groomer, which I have yet to meet. I explained what I wanted and I was very specific about them not cutting my dog’s eyelashes. My dog is just a puppy and I explained to the “greeter” that before I bought her, the breeder took her for her first grooming and they had cut her eyelashes and how I didn’t want for that to happen again. He said: “Ok, I’ll let her know. She has a lot of experience and I’m sure she won’t have any problems grooming her”. After 1.5 hours I got the call that she was ready. I go to pick her up; he charges me before giving her to me and says that she was good. I noticed something was wrong and then realize that from about 1.5 inches her eyelashes were down to 1/4 of an inch. I asked for an explanation and all he could say was that she was a puppy and that her eyelashes were going to grow back. I was furious and I asked to speak to the groomer, but of course she was “gone” for the day. Then asked to speak to the manager, but guess what???? She was also gone for the day on a Saturday before noon. I plan to go back to speak to both of them, but just wanted to make sure that people are aware of the irresponsibility of the personnel at the Animal Inn in Richmond, TX. If they can’t even follow simple grooming instructions, I don’t want to know what else they can forget when you board your pets in their Inn. If you love your animals as much as I love my dog, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, don’t board your animals at the Animal Inn.
